Heidi Meixner is a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist working across collage, painting, sculpture, and textiles. Rooted in folk art traditions and alternative philosophies, her practice uses slow-process techniques to explore the relationship between ritual and the everyday as a quiet counterweight to fractured and accelerated contemporary culture.

Through the tactile distillation of collage, Meixner reframes perspectives into evolving visual forms. This approach extends naturally into her work with textiles, where she is drawn to the soft, buffering nature of fiber and its rich history. Beyond her studio practice, Meixner has spent over a decade as a film set buyer—a role that deeply informs her eye for visual nuance, object symbolism, and spatial storytelling.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Simon Fraser University and lives and works on the traditional unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
